SUBMISSION: Julia Jade "Speed Dating"

Getting submissions is one of our all time fucking favorite things. Unfortunately we don’t post all the submissions we receive, but when we do, we want to share them with the world! This super-indie submission is something that reminds us of a song that should be on the Juno soundtrack (one of the best ever, you gotta admit). If you’re into that kind of thing check out this lo-fi track titled “Speed Dating” by Julia Jade.

The song depicts someone at a speed dating night who has lost all hope after meeting a slew of less than decent people, and then just when she’s about to give up, that special someone walks in and changes everything. Speed Dating is a great source of queer representation as it’s a queer love song that’s not about being queer at all. I hope that couples like my partner and I connect with this song as we don’t have enough songs like it.
