Here in the wild wild west, we like to assume there are certain female musicians we just know will be legends. If you’ve been following us for a while. you might have seen last years Instagram Takeover with soft-pop insta queen Alice Gray. We used to be OBSESSED with her song “Lay Down.” It’s no wonder that when we got an email about her new music, we just knew we had to give praise. We loved her then, we love her now, and we’ll probably love her every day after that.
Alice’s new single + music video “Hell With You” takes you through a self-discovering journey of a young woman who has a habit of putting herself through tough shit, but loves it. After watching the video, everyone at the office quickly related. I think Alice is talking about the kind of relationship you have with your favorite sweet - you think you fucking need it because you love the taste, but know it’s bad for you in the long run. AKA that kind of relationship where you KNOW you should move on from, but make one hell of a pair when things are going good.
I think we can all relate.
