I remember being in London, at an underground club the first time I heard EVVY. It was late 2016, and I was merely just starting to get into the music industry. I went wherever my big label friends went, as they were older and knew the best places to discover artists. It must had been 3am by this time given my label friends were past the point of A&R, and onto the dance floor. I followed, but I specifically remember trying to get closer to the speaker, in hopes of my Shazam picking up the tune and telling me who was playing overhead. it was Tidal Wave by EVVY. I was instantly hooked.

Fast forward, and EVVY is back from a tragic four-year hiatus. Someone dear to hear heart fell ill, sending EVVY into a spiral of depression and defeat. Similar to her songs Swing, Collide, and Tidal Wave, this version of EVVY is a little more mature in her lyricism, all the while remaining brave and vulnerable.

EVVY’s new song “OOMS” short for Out Of My System is an electro-ballad bouncing the idea of not being too caught up in life, and moving forward with whatever brought you down. EVVY’s intrinsic melodies and honesty will bring those chart numbers back up in no-time. Hiatus-who?
